To formulate a Standardization for all Blacksheep to follow, implement this tactic while in any formation to counter B-n-Z attacks.
3-plane echelon:
- Lead breaks aggressively in a horizontal turn away from formation-center.
- Dash 2 noses over 15 degrees straight ahead.
- Dash 3 breaks aggressively in a horizontal turn away from formation-center.
Note: In a 4-plane echelon, the two middle aircraft (Dashes 2&3) with still push over, but in a slight turn away from formation-center.
Finger-4:
- Dash 3 breaks aggressively in a horizontal turn away from the formation.
- Lead and Dash 2 push over 10 deg nose down and turn slightly away from formation center.
- Dash 4 breaks aggressively in a Horizontal turn away from formation-center.
Diamond:
- Lead Breaks down and to the right.
- Dash 2 Breaks horizontally to the right.
- Dash 3 Breaks Horizontally to the left.
- Dash 4/Slot Breaks down and to the left.
This will make the formation break-away orderly and efficient. Executing in this way will leave all pilots in the formations knowing EXACTLY where his fellow squadron mates are going leaving a very comfortable feeling of predictability in the unit.
Keep in mind, this tactic is not a run tactic. Don't venture too far from the group. Keep an eye out for the Uber bastard and prepare to set his arse up for a team kill when he tries to re-attact. Straying too far from each other will leave one or two very vulnerable.
Plan to execute this defensive maneuver very much the way you would execute the Shackle in regards to distance from the team. Get back to your buddies and cover!
*Make reports of enemy position.
*Give direction of flight to set up the kill.
*Call Hi/Lowboy.
*Heading/Speed - and if needed, grid posit for incoming help.
