I really don't see the big deal about the I-7 when compared to AMD's 1090 black edtion there is such a big price difference when you look at amd and intel's top of the line product when I don't think you really get that much perfomance gains when gaming but I could be wrong it is just my opinion. $1039.00 Intel Core i7-975 Extreme Edition Bloomfield 3.33GHz 4 x or $275.00 AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB. If I get the AMD it saves me $764.00 where that money can go to a higher end GPU's, Motherboards better memory ext.. and I have been reading that people have been OCing the 1090 to 4+Ghz without any effort.

Sorry Vain,
I like Asus motherboards, i have installed these in three different computers over the years and never had any problems.
I would recommend that you go with a 64bit model and one that you will be able to expand when the time comes to update cards.
They have them with PCI express SLI slots sense this is what you are looking for in a motherboard.
I hope this is some help and Maybe soon I will be able to get in the air again if I remember how. LOL
Good luck with the build.

Well Vain I am going with the amd phenom11 x4 965 black chip. It is only 4 cores not 6 but only need that if you will multitasking many different things at once I believe. The one I am going to get is 3.4 ghz . that could be easily overclocked to 4.0ghz but I will leave it stock for now. Motherboard will be asus M4N98TD that will good enough for some expansion. Good luck
